Claude Monet’s Woman with a Parasol – Madame Monet and Her Son (1875) is a prime example of Impressionist art, capturing a fleeting, sunlit moment of the artist’s wife and son outdoors. The painting uses light, color, and loose brushwork to convey movement and atmosphere, reflecting Monet’s signature style.  Beyond its technical mastery, the piece is intimate and personal, showing a tender family scene. The Scream is a famous painting by Norwegian artist Edvard Munch, created in 1893. It shows a person screaming on a bridge, with a dramatic red sky and a distorted landscape. The painting expresses strong emotions like fear, anxiety, and despair. Munch was inspired by a real moment when he felt overwhelmed by sadness and heard "a scream through nature." He used bold colors and swirling lines to show what he felt inside, not just what he saw. The Scream is part of the Expressionist movement, where artists focus on emotions and inner feelings.
